I used to respect Sheila Copps, that is until I read this article.
In it she goes on about why she is against MMP in Ontario. The primary tool in her argument is fear mongering. She claims religious extremist will take over the government.
I used to have respect for her. All of that is now gone. She has demonstrated herself to be a bigot.

I wouldn't call her a bigot but what she's doing is throwing everything she can into the mix and hoping some of the spaghetti will stick to the wall.
Why back anything up with facts when you can make fear-based, emotional arguments (Karl Rove anyone) to scare and confuse the electorate.
Sheila is a reformer - just not this kind of reform. Not sure anyone would want her on the pro-MMP side anyway.

Maybe she haven't really change from her Rat Pack Days except that she knew how to stay alive politically. Note the GST debacle, Hamilton politics at its best. Not that I am denigrating Hamiltonians with this comment.
